I assume he couldn't pay the local repair guy so the dude kept it and is trying to recover his time spent fixing it.

Or he needed €300, realized he still had the pictures laying it around from the last couple of times he sold it and decided to see if the cops would come this time.

Life man, life happened here again...;)

Who is the guy that "interviewed" him? Why do you not do a follow up interview and ask about the 7020 and ask about trying to buy my S2 through a very suspicious proxy agreement?

Not bashing and if you take it that way you are taking it wrong.
How was is suspicious? I saw your earlier post but did you think there was going to be a reversal from paypal just because he was
using another person to ship it rather than have you send it to Portugal??

I'm not defending him as he has done some strange stuff that i have read about but just wondering

I honestly don't know what the scam would have been (or if there even was going to be a scam)? I just figured if he was involved it would be in my best interest to avoid. I will PM you more detail, don't want to post publicly.

Yeah, I wouldn't deal with this guy for any reason I can imagine. There are lots of places to get LD stuff from, no need to add risk.

I would sell to him.
Hell, anybody still paying over 300+ for players can take mine any time, I'll take their money.
These players are getting older and have more issues to deal with.
No parts, less techs and more issues guarantee a shorter and shorter lifespan for LDs.
Sad but that's one reason why I'm selling off a lot of discs right now, and stock piling players for the discs I am keeping.

Aren't there ways a seller can screw you via eBay/PayPal? If there are, I'm pretty sure this guy knows them and is willing to use them if it gives him the means to own a "rare" player before then selling it on to someone else a week later.
