I'm not sure the website is kept very up to date - most of his sales seem to be done through FB groups.

The FB process is way too annoying for me to buy anything from him but he seems totally legit. I'd rather just pay the fees and buy straight from YAJ but this guy seems like the next best thing and that's says a lot. Many many happy customers.

Never had a chance to get anything, always gone or pictured in the 10 dollar picture but was put in the wrong picture by accident and was more expensive :|

I know about the guy but I can't say I am a big fan of the prices

The MUSE discs were sold at very reasonable prices. 125 $ for Jurassic Park ? That's fair.

The Prices are fair. I bought from him, but the LD get lost on its way to Germany, but that was not a Problem. Kevin send me another copy immediately

Have to agree with the above! I have purchased many Laserdiscs from Kevin, I would go as far to say he is the absolute best online dealer/seller I've ever encountered. As well the items received were the most satisfying acquisitions I can remember, just spot on. Early on he even helped me privately acquire certain titles, as I've never had Facebook.

A fantastic seller, great guy, good prices.
I've already done at least 10 orders from him.

I highly recommend Good Squid, I've bought most of my Japanese discs from him. Buying through Facebook is a bit of a hassle, especially if you're like me and don't have a Facebook account, but his customer service is excellent, his prices fair and his discs are always in great condition and arrive here in the UK with no problems.

i'm in japan so i didn't have to worry about international shipping, but when i needed a replacement for my AC3 encoder, he was right there with great service and fast shipping.

In two years I purchased 197 laserdiscs from Good Squid. Kevin Kobos sells the best quality laserdiscs for a reasonable price in part because he lives in Japan and can buy in bulk for a lesser price without paying import fees. As a result he passes the savings to his customers. He even held discs on the side for me on request until I was unable to purchase two laserdiscs and he called me a bad customer and blocked me. Despite respected laserdisc moderators speaking up on my behalf, he refuses to respond and states I can buy from the store, but he does not have to talk to me. Since he occasionally has screwed up orders on me, he leaves me with no method of inquiry since all his business dealings are through Facebook. So in that respect I have to state for buyers to be weary because he can be volatile and that makes him less than reliable. If he should change his business dealings I will amend my review. Otherwise, I recommend consumers be careful not to p**s him off lest you will be blocked as I am. No wonder he lives expatriated. I honestly doubt he capable of normal business dealings.

Talk about a red flag factory. You sound like a PITA customer. I’m not surprised he stopped dealing with you.

At some point you have to weigh potential sales vs high risk of people asking for returns, partial refunds etc... When people send me really weird messages on eBay sometimes I will just block them. One big red flag for me is people that ask for pictures of the disc (for disc based video games). Those can never really show anything unless it's super bad. Feels like those people are trying to trap you to file a SNAD claim.

Without knowing all the details here it's hard to say, but it sounds like a personal issue between the two of you.

He’s just a guy. Not Wal Mart, just a guy. He can sell to whoever he wants. If I had gotten 197 discs from a guy (at usually great prices) and he never wanted to sell to me again I’d just say, “Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.”

He went weird and ghosted you with no loss to either party. You can just describe it as that, you don’t have to follow him all over the internet and make stuff up about him.
