Post subject: laserdisc manufacturing errors Posted: 01 Jan 2014, 04:44 |

Hi,
I thought this topic might be of interest as I have just tried an NTSC LD of Bruce Lee's "Return of the Dragon" and I was very suprised to find that the film started witout any sort of introduction.
Thinking I might have put the disc into my player the wrong way up - so it played on Side 2 - I was even more suprised to find that the LD had actually been manufactured with both Side 1 and 2 Labels REVERSED - so despite my correctly placing it with "Side 1" upermost - it was actually playing "Side 2"
I found no mention of this problem in an Internet search - and I suspect that such a manufacturing error would probably have involve a Batch of many discs - So can it be that I have the only one ?
