This title was announced and then canceled, but I have never seen it announced anywhere. Does anyone know where this title was announced and what the spine number was going to be?

GWTW never had an official announcement from criterion, just a mention that they were considering it. Ron Haver was involved and when they looked at the licensing fees and costs of the extra material they wanted to include they realized that the disc set would have to sell for at least $450.00, and that just wouldn't fly, so they dropped the project. Ron Haver confirmed that in an interview in The Perfect Vision. MGM came out with the beautiful CAV version not too long after.
