Now, I happened to buy Citizen Kane as well. I'm not sure if this is the right thread, but I have to ask, do you think I got it for a good price? Here's the auciton. http://www.ebay.com/itm/MIB-MOVIE-LASER ... 2c6885e23bI mainly bought it because it's Criterion #1 and, of course, I like the film very much. But then again, I'm not sure how much it is worth but it seems to be in good condition so I guess the price was acceptable.

remington wrote: The KK colorized Ld often sells high because no colorized KK was released on dvd (just VHS). Some may not even want to watch a colorized 1933 KK but want to complete their KK collection for posterity. yep, i saw some guy on ebay listed a transformerscollection with a transformers LD but there was a crack and he said he never even owned an LD player. so that could be an issue also with some discs, you're not just bidding against someone who wants to watch it but someone who wants to put it on the shelf. like me with citizen kane

I found mine for less than that but I was willing to pay more so I just got lucky. It's a beautiful set, especially when you compare it to what else was on the market in Dec. 1984. If you find the first box of Kong you may want to pick it up as well. Kong was never on the top of my film lists either, but the commentary on this disc is so good, (as well as the Image release), that I found myself appreciating it more than I ever expected to. Now I love the film and watch it often. Plus, having the two boxes next to each other on the shelf just looks cool. Ron
