I have the criterion blu-ray. I just recorded the 80s remake in HD onto my TiVo last night.

A total 50s movie. Interesting. I used to have the Criterion LD. Looks decent. Always hated the jacket image they chose for it.

The 80s version is a passable watch. Fun take on it.

The Criterion "The Blob" is worth having. Pretty decent transfer, great original trailer and bonus trailerof the remake. Front cover image was pretty "meh" choice.

Very nice score and you are right however I really do love the 80s version as well so picked up the blu ray blob collectors edition with all three blob films, limited to 2200 copies
