Moving this to the right subforum!

Howdy all, long time listener first time caller.

Is there any kind of database or exchange for scanning Criterion inserts? Should there be?

A lot of the second hand discs and sets seem to be missing them, and I find that they're a real treat. Being able to take a standardized 300dpi scan down to Kinkos on a thumb drive to make reprints on high-quality paper would be really cool and would be a great collection booster, I think! I've got a few... and am missing more. I'm sure you might have the same trouble! Scanning to 300dpi won't be a big deal, it's organizing a standard and getting the pieces everybody else has that's the trick.

But that is not a scan, it's a photograph :)
Also, my insert that came with Blade Runner looks different from the one you are holding there.

i wanted to create a database of all Criterions LaserDisc especially of the inserts but that never got off the ground. I'll have to check my Blade Runner copy if that looks the same. Which release do you have #69 or #19?

That's the #19 insert! Matches the "late 80s Hypertext Green" font on the cover!

A'duh, captain.

I'll start a list of what I've got in the next few days and get to scannin', I know I've got Citizen Kane 001 and at least four or five others. I'll set up a shared Dropbox maybe?

Thinking also that things like "feedback postcards" or the Trainspotting slang list would be pretty great!

Cool! (Sorry I dropped out for a bit, freelance is real!)

I'll set up a shared Dropbox soon, thinking 300 dpi scans is the way to go.

Hello!

As an update, now that extra pictures can be added on top of Front/Back covers, there's no problem adding the insert scans as well.

So what's the status of this project? Is there a dropbox link of scans or a website? I haven't seen any scans on the individual database entries of movies. I've got 2 inserts that I can scan and add to the collection, and I'm hoping to find some of the ones I'm missing.

The "status" is that users can now submit more scans per title so eventually this will be filled in like the rest of the LDDB. I'm pretty sure that's the extent of the "project".

Ok. Just checking. I looked on all the Criterions that I have in the database (15 titles), and none of them had any scans. So I wasn't sure if that's what people were doing or not.

Well, I've only got 2, but it's better than none! I'll scan and add them later tonight.

Well. I just got a couple new Criterion discs, and they had the inserts. Not sure if I submitted the other 2 correctly. Incase i didn't, here's a google drive folder with 6 scans.
