12 Muse movies for 1700 €... I wish I had won the lottery :)

I sent him an eBay message asking what the "other titles" are that he has available. Nothing that interests me, but maybe someone wants to make him an offer.

I was also in contact with him.
Really weird.

At the end of september, he was offering me more than 300 € for my "Death Becomes Her" Hi-Vision
and one month later he asked me if I wanted to buy some of his titles... now it's all on sale.

Like Publius said, at that price, with almost all the obi missing, it won't sell.

If that collection was really as new, with original OBI on Backdraft, Stargate.... and Factory plastic cases with the Sitcker Obi on the others it would sell...

Do muse discs have the lossless digital stereo tracks? Or lossy dance encoded tracks only? If no lossless my keith jarod concert ntsc ld is more desirable to me than its muse version.

It depends on the disc. The standard allows the same Red Book type PCM on Hi-Vision LD as on standard LD, but it's not required, since the MUSE signal contains embedded audio. The specifics of discs may be found in their LDDb listings. Be it said, B-Mode 48 kHz 16 bit 2-channel stereo tested as equivalent to Red Book PCM in auditory terms, although I shouldn't like to use it as a master for anything.

I wonder if they could squeeze out more bandwith on 12" disc with narrow band blue laser.

between the OPs list of best movies and Publius' non Hollywood list i count something like 13 titles(bttf counts as 3 of course).... i have no interest in a fe of these... so assuming im interested in the 10 titles...is it really worth the extra money?? the muse player,the muse decoder...and the discs that NEVER cost less than 75...and go up to WHATEVER.....

im running an LD-S9 or CLD 1010 through an ABT upscaler watching my discs in 1080i through a DVI connection on my Sony Trintron 40" TV...

how much better is the picture really going to be????

If you have to ask, it's not worth it.

MUSE Hi-Vision LD is brilliant, but the utter lack of title support makes it more a novelty than anything, especially now when Blu-Ray is available. I'm sad to say that, but I think it's true. Its main value now is to satisfy curiosity & provoke incredulity.

Well if I ever got a Muse player, I wouldn't go for movie discs either, but I would want to get the scenery discs that didn't get released in regular NTSC discs. These ones look like they only got released as Muse LD?

Now factor the fact that I had to live in Tokyo several years to find them and ship them all the way to Singapore, twice :-)
And I have a mortgage to pay back as well.

Last set that Nicolas sold was for $1,800, even he doesn't have a complete set anymore.

I've no problem at all with your price.

It's kind of funny that seeing your items in the LDDB shops I immediately remembered your 3 years old post in this thread where you said you got them all 3 for $180.

I'm still looking for BTTF 3 myself, but only with obi (yeah, I'm a maniac, I know... thanks to LDDB!).

From a conversation with Santini. His pricing for 7/10 or higher grade, complete with obi and clear sleeve.
Bttf1 =$300
Bttf2=$700
Bttf3=$800
For a total of $1800. He also mentioned bttf3 was not so rare in early 2000s. He tought ET was far more rare. Then a couple of years ago he found multiple copies of ET but dont see bttf3 for sale as often anymore. His last sale was past august for $1800. He no longer has bttf3 in stock to complete the set. He no longer buys inventory. He said he is hoping to sell off his inventory by 2025. Any left overs he will take with him to France and try and sell from there. So no clearance is expected.

Those prices could easily be beaten.

I saw all three BTTF movies available in Japan auctions along with many other MUSE titles a few years ago.
I put in a few low bids and won these two which are complete and near mint condition:

BTTF2 and BTTF3 did not go for much more than the bids I put in either.

I believe you. I told Julien about how much Santini was selling these in the first place. He mentioned it here so I wanted to explain the entire story. Santini's prices are in the way upper side of the market. I bought many Muse titles well under $100 shipped which Santini was asking $300-500 for those.
