I found a set for $35. I knew the "Return of the Jedi" disc was the hardest one f the three to find. Beyond that, they look to be in beautiful condition.

There's a guy in the Rochester area selling a bunch of CED titles, including Return of the Jedi. I might have to stop by and see what else he has

Nice! I have Star Wars & The Empire Strikes Back. I was on the lookout for Jedi, but I'm in no rush. The only player I have is one of the first RCA models and only has a coaxial connection. I basically bought the player out of curiosity and it's been sitting in the garage every since... but the Star Wars CEDs are great. I also snagged The Beatles' 'Let It Be' on CED, the cover is awesome. Although I'll be glad when the Blu-Ray/DVD is released in 2013.

Yeah, my cousin's excited for that 2013 release as well. Me? I'd rather have a good laserdisc or a CED if I can ever acquire a player locally

Congratulations to all who have the SW trilogy on CED. They are a great set to have. I got the SW trilogy back when Columbia House had the CED club. Don't forget to get The Making of Star Wars / SPFX: The Empire Strikes Back to enhance your trilogy.

Did they cut out parts of the movie to fit the first two onto one disc? I could swear episodes 4 and 5 both have runtimes over 120 minutes.

They used time compression - slightly speeding up the audio and dropping some telecine fields used to pad 24fps to ~30.

The same technique was used on the P&S CLV Laserdiscs as well.

There you go then. I must not be very observant, or I was a kid and have a bad memory. ;)
