So far I've got Bladerunner (which was the first), Magazine two three (23) and the Dark Crystal. I plan to find Labyrinth if I can but is there any must own titles in any genre. Also are there any anime on VHD that is not on LD?

thanks.

I can't remember if you have 3D but i would look for Starchaser Legend of Orin, i don't care for the film but if i had a player i would get that title.

I should have kept that on LD. I'll look for it. Wish I had a manual to my DP-300 since it shows 3D on the side but there aren't any inputs for glasses.

here's the player with good pictures of what I won

Would you happen to know the address? I don't remember what it was-so I could check that.

Good luck with the site.
I would check at work or another computer.

Just to let you know, the 3D on VHD isn't compatible with progressive displays such as LCD and Plasma. It's using a proprietary field sequencing 3D which will work only on CRT displays. You can't use any outboard processing either. You need to feed the composite output into a CRT display (I would say none-HD only). The same goes to 3D laseractive games.

Perhaps some players had 3D playback compatibility, without displaying 3D? On my player, the jack for the 3D glasses are located right next to the enable/disable button on the right side of the front panel. It is just a standard audio type jack.

As for "must haves", not really much I'm afraid. Might be a few music titles not available on other formats and such. Besides that, VHD has pretty much what other formats have. The video quality isn't much better than VHS either. Not really worth getting into unless you want to feed your curiosity. At least in my opinion, the only cool thing with VHD is the 3D aspect of it. Half of the 3D titles aren't even movies, just gimmick videos and silly stuff like that. In total something like 22 3D titles got released.

For me a must have was Dio: Super Rock '85 in Japan [VDS-M0131] which is not available on laserdisc but exists on VHD.
Took me a long time finding one.
