I put a bid on a combo player, LG BH200 on eBay recently thought I would put it in the man cave and move one of my other player sets then out--but then looked at some reviews of the thing and was fairly surprised at the failure rate of those machines--does anyone have a story about a SUCCESS with an LG dual machine?

A friend of mine used to own one. He had bad luck with it. Extra features with hddvd would refuse to work. I believe this is a shortcoming with combo players.
He was happy to get rid of the machine. Firmwire was a big mess i was told. Playabck issues.
On the other hand it may have been bad luck. Myself i had bad luck with sony in the past so none of that for me no more :shh:

I think the first generation combo players cannot show pop up menus on HD-DVDs, but that's just what I've heard.
