I was watching the Movie Kuffs on LD yesterday and there is a part where Christian Slater's new partner starts swearing. The audio put these funny "bleeps" replacing the swear words. I have never seen this on a LD release as I thought they don't bleep out the words. An even more usual thing is that after the 30 seconds of swearing the character says the word "F*ck" slowly and clearly as a finale, but this was NOT bleeped out! I was wondering if anybody else has notice this. Very unusual, I have never seen/heard anything like this before in any medium LD or otherwise.

My guess would be that it was maybe intended this way, by the director of the movie.

I remember a couple japanese hentai DVD's that actually had sexual dialog beeped out.
(Cream Lemon among others). Can't recall if any of the LD releases had beeped dialog.
Which is quite odd, because if you buy stuff like that you are doing so because of the sex and whatever comes along with it.

But more than just simple "censoring", I can't understand why the last F* bomb was kept completely intact! And this was the clearest F* bomb of them all! :)

its always hilarious when editors go thru the trouble to cencor something then miss something totally obvious, like washu giving ayekas t***ies a poke on the cencored cartoon network version of tenchi muyo lol.. but when you buy a movie its generally supposed to be uncencored cuz like, you own it and can make sure that kids dont watch it. idk.. but i do know that they cencored the famous "s**t" line from the japanese ld release of transformers the movie i was disspointed when i noticed that lol

Could it have been intentional? Did they do this in the original movie as a joke?

That's a good question. I have only seen the movie on "TV" before so they would have edited all that out. Maybe somebody who saw it in the movies originally or somewhere "uncensored" could answer this. I just can't figure you why they left the last F*ck in it while removing all the others?

From what you said it almost seems like it was done for dramatic effect. was that the one where christian slater was looking at the screen or something like that for some of the movie?

Dramatic effect,artistic liberty,or bad editing.....
Perhaps the director would like to weigh in here........LOL

I am almost positive I saw it in a movie, almost to a tee what you described so I am thinking that might be so.

mikeystoyz-
I think this was part of the original soundtrack as intended. I went to the imdb and in their quotes section they have this with this section and it is just like the audio track with everything bleeped out, except for the last F* word. I guess this is how the director intended it to be. Frankly, it's silly, not funny, and detracts from the movie. I didn't mind the main character talking to the camera, it was different, but didn't detract from the movie. However, that piece was bad, as was another section where his partner, Ted, is under the influence of a sleep aid and they have "blooper" noises pasted in while he is trying to walk up stairs. Hmmm.... Oh well. I think this mystery is solved. Thanks for the input guys!
