I'd like to know what Russian/Soviet produced movies were given laserdisc releases (I'm hoping to start a collection of these). So far it seems to be mostly Tarkovsky movies that I'm finding.
List so far:

Battleship Potemkin (1925)
Alexander Nevsky (1938)
Andrei Rublev (1966)
Solaris (1972)
Stalker (1979)
Burnt by the Sun (1994)

edit: added to the list.

Japan also had a "Soviet Film Collection" going for a little while.

Of course, that means Russian with Japanese subtitles:

Hi cz8c,

Unfortunately, I only have one such film in my collection which you can add to your list. You will not find it listed here yet, as it is in the "pending submissions" section of the site, awaiting Julien's validation. However, it is a very unusual release indeed. It is a disc which was released in Mainland China. The film is a Russian submarine warfare movie with the title Komandir schastlivoy 'Shchuki', also known as The Captain of the Lucky Pike. The reference number for the release is TA056. It is a bilingual disc, with the soundtrack in the original Russian language on one set of audio tracks, and dubbed into Mandarin on the other set. It's certainly not the type of disc you would stumble upon everyday, that's for sure!

Best Regards,
David

Thank you, Julien! I just officially added it to my collection listing. I haven't been on the site for several days, so I just found out that it had been validated. I truly appreciate it, my friend! Now, it's time to do another update!

Wow, Nu Pogodi on laserdisc.

I'd love to get this but I've got a hunch this is harder to find than a reddit moderator who can see his own genitals without a mirror.
