I'll have to keep a look out for NTSC USA pressing.

THX 1138 (1971) [11162]

Yeah its probably best you go for that pressing. In retrospect I probably should have got that one instead too because then I wouldn't have to deal with burnt-in Japanese subtitles, but at the time it was my understanding that the 1995 letterbox Japanese pressing being the most recent release of THX 1138 in its theatrical form, was the best quality version available, but I have seen many people and many pictures that indicate that the USA version is as good or even better in terms of PQ. It should be easier/cheaper to find/buy too, although there are no sellers listed here on LDDB.

I am still happy with my Japanese pressing. The cover art looks great, the transfer looks strong, and as I said, it seems to have gone right up in value.

Clear And Present Danger (1994) on Channel4 in SCOPE 2.35:1. I can't stand the audio compression used on films and the high level of the TV ads that forces me to fade it down many -db.

I prefer the THX Laserdisc AC-3 better.

On MM Movie Mix, The Net (1995) Sandra Bullock, is framed by some dodgy computer geeks for murder drugs and she's out to find who framed her and clear her name.

There goes another great actor.......Still he has the prospect of being resurrected to this earth some day all are in Jehovah Gods memory.

All will sleep until that day.........
