This is a very interesting thread !

I really love all underwarted related films !

Crimson Tide is a fantastic movie. I do not know how well the dts LD sounds however I do have an old Region 3 ( South East Asia ) DVD from 1999 methinks that has a non-anamorphic widescreen picture
and a fantastic dts audio track/mix. I am sure the dts LD sounds even better than the DVD I have ( half the bitrate ! ).

EDIT: Das Boot is probably the best sub themed motion picture. It is brilliant in every aspect ( story, acting, music ... ). It is just so brilliant on so many levels.

Would Fantastic Voyage count as "underwater themed" ?

Technically 55 % of the blood is plasma, and 92 % of that is water so ...........

Bit of a stretch I know lol ......... :wtf:

Maybe we could also make a list of post apocalyptic movies. I would find that very interesting.

This is a pretty complete book on that genre:

https://www.amazon.com/World-Gone-Wild- ... tic+movies

Although it breaks things down for vhs and dvd it doesn't cover what had LD releases. I went through the book and counted the ones I knew were in it that had LD releases and I counted close to 70 IIRC.

There was this thread from a ways back which was kind of a start on a list:
