Looks suspiciously like a PIONEER player but it bears the BMB trademark:

Google'ing BMB shows karaoke and DJ items. Some Asia-only karaoke-tuned Pioneer LD players?

It looks very similar to the Pioneer CLD-V2120D I used to own which interestingly I bought from a UK travelling DJ (weddings etc) who carried it around as part of his system. Perhaps BMB notice people using these players as parts of DJ systems so decided to market modified versions as karaoke players.

A Samsung player.... Just the thought makes me shiver from seeing their PQ back in the early90's when everyone was coming out with a low cost player - and the Goldstar players were just as bad, and like the Samsungs, OEM'd for Zenith, Radio Shack, Carver, etc... I think they hurt the LaserDisc format badly because they tracked CLV terribly, had awful chroma noise and beats from cheap filtering and showed drop outs so badly most discs looked mildly rotted. Truly terrible players, in every way.

Hey @admin, I know this is an old thread but I came across it while researching players. BMB is a subsidiary of Nikkodo, which was a US/Japan karaoke equipment manufacturer.

And we have 6 LD players so far under Nikkodo (BMB).

But then what do we make of BMB players produced by SANYO?

Ex: BMB (Sanyo) VDP-1004
