Sorry if anyone has commented on this previously. A while ago the display on my CLD-97 ceased to function, and loading discs went wonky. In order to do a little troubleshooting today I hooked it up to my VPS-3800 trying to see if I could get some discs to play. I noticed something interesting I didn't recall seeing before. The VPS 3800 displays the input resolution for a second or two when it detects the signal. When turning on the 97 the C2 displayed 720 x 506i. That seemed odd, so using the same cable I hooked up two other LD players (EAD TheaterVision and an RCA) and they both registered 720 x 480i resolution. Has anyone else seen this before? |

Has anyone else seen this before? sure it said 720x506 and not 720x576? if so, it just means it's PAL and not NTSC. |

The CLD-97 is a NTSC only Player. Maybe signal detection is wrong? |

I've seen this happen too. Though, with tape sources. I assumed it was just because it got a wonky signal input at that moment. Became 480 after it settled or I hit my AR macro button. |
