Hi my friends from the Northern forest of Russia.
Is there a problem? A corpse? The drive takes . Further, there is no response . The laser is trying to drive on the disk. Motor chief dead ? The disk is not spinning

Seeing your post hasn't received any activity, I'm just throwing out a wild guess here!
I am by no means an experienced guy dealing in repairs.

I think the reason for the disc is not spinning is because the optics cannot detect a disc. Normally, you would have LD if the laserdisc is detected. The optics being bad or dead might not be the case or at fault, but it sounds like something is trying to prevent the optical block from moving freely on the track. Could this be the "scratching" sound?
If you had it shipped to you, the optical block might have been knocked out of position and that would surely prevent it from detecting a disc. I have a CLD-97 that wouldn't detect a laserdisc as LD, but as a CD. The reason for it was that the optical block wasn't properly seated on the track. When I got it seated properly, the optics detected it as a LD.
