Does anyone know if Kenwood LD player remotes are like the Pioneers where they work with other players? My LVD-820R appears to be a Panasonic on the inside but does not function with the remote from my LX-900. There are a couple of Kenwood Laserdisc remotes on eBay, but I hate to spend $20 on something that might not work. Thanks!

It looks like the remote model for this player is simply RC-LVD820R based on the user manual. If you Google it, there seems to be one for sale for $19.95 from some website I've never heard of.

I purchased the $20 one from the EMTC website. Hopefully it all works out.

I thought I would post an update. EMTC was a terrible experience. I didn't even get confirmation of the order with over a week to process it. I finally had to open a case with PayPal to get my money back. I then purchased an RC-LVDK900 remote from eBay that looks very similar to the correct RC-LVD820R remote. Most of the functions work with the exception of chapter next, chapter back, and the play button. Unfortunately those are probably the most used keys on the remote. I will probably try one more remote, but I think I will probably just buy a Harmony and be done with it.
