I've just bought an Onkyo ED-901 decoder (still waiting on delivery) and managed to find some documentation on line, but there's one thing that isn't clear. The one I'm buying has a D-connector leading to six audio phono plugs which are presumably the audio channels for an amp with component surround sound input (which I have). Unfortunately the documentation doesn't mention this lead or say which plug is for which channel. I'm reasonably sure I can figure it out, but if anyone does have this equipment and can tell me it might save some time. I've asked Onkyo, but haven't heard back yet.

DB25 (THX)Pin outAssignment
The following is the pin out assignment for the DB25 connector used on manycomponents such as those from Onkyo, Rotel and others. Thesecomponents consist ofReceivers, decoders, Preamps and amplifiers. You can use these pin outsto construct your own DB25 to 6 RCA, 6 RCA to DB25 and DB25-DB25 inter-connects.
Pin 1 left Pin 14 left ground Pin 2 center Pin 15 center ground Pin 3 right Pin 16 rightground Pin 4 Low frequency signal (subwoofer) Pin 17 Low frequencysignal (subwoofer)ground Pin 5 left surround Pin 18 left surround ground Pin 6 right surround Pin 19 rightsurround ground

Hey all, just thought I'd add to the confision regarding the DB25 connection on the Onkyo ED901. Here is what I have: I purchased my unit through eBay and the seller included the dongle above and the diagram below. YMMV

A belated PS to this - I picked this up in a car boot sale (swap meet) today Suspect it's a cable for either this amp or the decoder, or something similar. There are ten female phonos, they're mostly labelled but some are barely legible. What I think they say is: Out 1 (L) Out 2 (R) Out 3 (L) Out 4 (R) Out 5 (L) Out 6 (R) Out 7 (L) Out 8 (R) in 1 (L) in 2 (R) What I can't figure out is why there are no centre or subwoofer sockets. Anyone got any ideas? Unfortunately I no longer own the Onkyo decoder so can't test it.
