I've been looking around eBay and a few other spots trying to find a demodulator at a reasonable cost - less than $150 - but haven't had any luck. They seem to be going for around $250 on eBay and haven't found them elsewhere. Do any of you have any tips on places on might find one? Other audio/video-related web sites with classified sections, for example?

As all I know you can look on hifishark's Website there are few AC3RF Demodulator on sale or just look on various web-board that sale the Demodulator or find the Sound Processor or Any Old Receiver that capable with AC3RF IN, for me I got APD-1 by Yamaha for nearly 20 buck(700 Baht) which definitely highly recommend for small and simple AC3 demodulator.

That's all, All I know is to keep looking for it until it went for sale for any Demodulator.
Good Luck!

I've found a few receiver/Pre-amp combos in pawn shops, Usually the older the better. You would probly be hard pressed to find a stand alone in most places, best bet is to look for pre-amp setup.

I think the best buy is to get a Pioneer Elite AVR VSX through SC, at least the ones that end in 9 have RF input. (VSX-09TX, VSX-39TX, VSX-59TXi, SC-09, etc) The ones with multi out could feed another system. Pay for the amp, get the RF in for free!
