I connect Dogital out from demod to Digital in in Receiver and RF Input from Demof to RF Output on LD
I can get picture but no sound. I am sure its to do with input settings on 1020. Anyone have any idea?
All DVD/BD are all connected

Quick checks:

  • I believe this is a Sony MOD-RF1?
  • Are you playing an AC3 LD?
  • Does the LOCKED LED turn on when you play an AC3 LD?

You probably need to assign a digital input to whatever analog input you have connected the LD player to.

Assuming this is a Pioneer, VSX-1020-K, these are the default assignments of the digital ins (black dots represent what analog inputs can be assigned a digital input)….

If you have the manual for your AV Receiver, pages 40 & 41 explain how to adjust the assignments or simply match up what the chart says.

Hope this helps.

On a side note, here is what one looks like inside. Demod IC is PM4007A.
