What you have is good enough, if you want to get one of the decoders that has all the inputs and outputs then piggyback that into a larger AV then fine.
But you are just going to be buying the same things in different shapes. Perfect. That's more or less the answer I was looking for. I'm keen to have AC-3 because a couple of discs I have it has different features on different soundtracks on the disc so I want access to them all. Thank you.

No Decoder/demodulator to my knowledge are the same things just different names. Its been a while I think Ted was asking about the decoder demodulator being built into an integrated amp or buying just the box decoder/demodulator.
