Hey guys, just a question, maybe some of you are more familiar with actual prices for used stuff. A friend of mine wants to get rid of his Yamaha YST-SW800 Subwoofer. Since I have an Yamaha YST-SW300 I´m interested. The only thing is, neither of us knows about the price. I think giving him 200.-€ would be ok, or is it too less ?

Looks like the Yamaha Sub is around $100.00 to $150.00 U.S. currency.

Hope that helps,

Duane

Yamaha is historically known for making terrible subwoofers. They are cheaper than the rest but still don't have many buyers. All yamaha subs i ve seen setups were part of home theater packages yamaha commonly sell.

I wouldn't pay more than $50. For 200 euros you can buy better subs even brand new.

Agree with substance. Never heard of a "good" yamaha sub. I wouldn't pay more than $50,... actually I wouldn't pay even a dollar as I have a Hsu Research VTF-15H and thus wouldn't want a Yamaha in my home theater room.

Thx for your reply guys. The YST-SW800 was never a part of a set and received some good reviews. Well, I´m thinking twice about buying it now, I am watching another used one on ebay (actually it´s 151.-€...and still 6 days to go...). Maybe I will tell my freind to sell his woofer on ebay, as I´m not willing to pay too much :-)
