I'm guessing Pioneer never built a cartridge-loading counterpart to the PD-707V, which has LD video circuitry for playing CDV-Singles in addition to standard CDs...

not to my knowledge, even in Japan. CLD-M90 is the only A/V oriented multi-disc playback device PIONEER ever marketed, AFAIK,
outside of their professional market LD mega changers, anyway...

you're doing fine. i ended up doing something similar myself, actually. no real harm done.

technically, you don't even really need those retainers. just pull the leads and reseat them making sure all the bare wires are straight,
and press them home vertically. this should slot them properly, and the tension the remainder of the grey terminals
should be enough to keep the leads seated properly.

my own players have survived a move in perfect order with their grey teminals in such condition, so i am certain your player will be OK.
just be reasonably careful and deliberate, and you should be able to successfully repair your -M6...

got the magazines they look in good shape. 1 was a JDM100 and I guess the rest were 200 but they did not have a model #.

heres the end result: it does work now thanks. can do something to make sure it doesn't come out like tape or something?

Great!

i don't know what might successfully secure those down, but as i said before,
i doubt you really have to worry. both my PD-M90X and single-disc audiophile grade PD-91
have these connectors for their front panel PCB CONTROL, and on both i have had to remove them
for repair work, breaking those gray retaining plates along the way.

they have been this way for years now, and have survived a move without fault,
so i'm fairly confident the tension holding those connectors fast is adequate,
providing the players never again have to endure the rigors of shipping or the like...
