Reminded me of the shelter from "Blast from the Past" reading this article.

Will keep an eye out in case of an after story about his restoration project.
Funny this kind of preparation is not more popular. The threat of nuclear annihilation has not diminished, if anything it is more likely then ever ........

I guess only the Swiss take preparation seriously, always have and still do today even though to date they posses no weapons of mass destruction.
All commercial and residential structures must have allocations with NBC warfare in mind when in designing and construction phases of development.

Most larger buildings and public locations had bomb shelters here in Norway. Air raid sirens were also tested regularly. Probably 30 years ago that was a thing. Still a lot of bunkers around, but they have been neglected. The bunker at my previous job had equipment dating back to 1969. The walls were also drilled full of holes for various cables and pipes. The outer blast door were also rusted really badly. Wouldn't want that to protect me, lol.
