I usually pull up something from youtube whilst I am online - unless I watching tv. This is what is on the playlist right now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_jwv2QMtAo

On to disc 2 of this with a tall silver can of Asahi after a loooong day. After getting hooked on Youtube discoveries I purposely disconnected my broadband to force myself to collect and listen to more CDs, the way the music I like was meant to be heard: btw I just use my phone data now. Tethered to my laptop to post this.

I always try to listen to music in the best quality available. Youtube therefore is a nono, it is however sufficient to listen to at work when I am alone in my office and you can always get a good first impression of a song. I am listening to a lot of music, all kinds of genre, even though I have to say my favourites are psychedelic trance music, some of the French pop music from the 80s/90s, 1990s Hip Hop, a lot of soundtracks, ambient music, world music such as Kitaro etc. But I think that you should always listen to in the best quality available and SACD and vinyl give me that satisfaction in many ways. Today I was listening to the following music on vinyl: https://www.discogs.com/de/Boards-Of-Ca ... se/5093863 ( great rerelease on vinyl, excellent sound quality, excellent release ) https://www.discogs.com/de/Dire-Straits ... se/1392736 ( got this one at a flea market for 1 € last Saturday, the West German vinyl sounds great ) https://www.discogs.com/de/Various-Jack ... se/8553054 ( excellent rerelease of this excellent soundtrack on 180g vinyl, the CD doesn't even nearly stand a chance ) The rest of the day I spent watching the Olympics

I agree but I have many redbook CDs that sound better than my SACDs I think. I don't know anything about vinyl, not my era but the pops and crackles would annoy me I'm sure. Tonight: Last track is a masterpiece, ひとつぶの涙

Listening to King Crimson's 2015 release of THRAK in remastered stereo CD and lossless MPLS 5.1 mixes. Also back to basics with Rage Against The Machine (Stereo SACD). Then back to more quiet times with the re-released LPs of Kings of Convenience ( Quiet Is The New Loud and Riot On An Empty Street). Also became quite fond of a Japanese rock band currently touring the world: ONE OK RockBought ALL their CDs and DVDs in one shot. That didn't happen to me since Hiromi Uehara. Baby Metal is a lot of fun too! Julien

A few months ago, I discovered Daft Punk and have been listening to them. Really wild electronic music. I have 5 of their albums: Random Access Memories, Human After All, Musique Vol. 1, Alive and Discovery. I am certain that I will be buying more in the future.
I also have Devo Greatest Hits for occasional retro listening.
