I bought a 200 watt step up/down transformer so that part is complete. I now have to get a PAL to NTSC converter next.

The transformer has a power switch so that should take care of disconnecting the PAL CED player from the "mains".

Back in 1983. the first CED that I bought was the movie Time Bandits. To keep the trend going, I bought the PAL version of the same movie.

I did notice that the caddy cover art for Dark Crystal is different when you compare the NTSC and the PAL CED versions.

Update:

I bought an A/V to HDMI converter for the VIP201P player. It turns out that the converter can take in either NTSC or PAL A/V and convert the signal to HDMI. The HDMI output can be set to 720 or 1080 p/i via a button on the converter. Since the CED video is not that detailed, I plan on setting the output to 720. We shall see how well the converter works in the future. More later.
