OP might appreciate this find. https://imgur.com/a/3hwFUuGPicked this stuff up off a cool old guy. He got it straight from the station when they got rid of it. It was a sattelite location of the KC CBS affiliate where they filmed local commercials.

Look at this crazy info on the box of a brand new 2002 Panasonic VHS Vcr....."8.000 hours" head drum....really ? i calculate (more or less) my Panasonic from 1992 has over 20.000 hours and still working like new with the same original components
