Searching last night and see that Discogs is going off into other branches with movies, comics, books, gear etc.

I'm sure I'm late to know this but it was interesting to say the least.

That was my initial project as well, years ago :-)

But LD is probably too niche for them anyway, it never worked well for music titles on Discogs.

I don't mind charging 8% instead of 3% though if you want the full Discogs experience :-P

I was wondering if you would end up selling lddb to them LOL

They do have some LDs on the moviecogs part, but it may take time for all these different sites to break off of ebay and take over the collectors market.

i have read the "about us" section of discogs; their goal is to become the biggest marketplace and dbase for all related to classic vinyl, cassette,cd....etc.
...like a "Music eBay" with each album info on the item reference

That sounds great and all but they may be 5-8 years behind.

When I was in Nashville and talking to major vinyl collectors who had never heard of them, that's a bad sign that I wouldn't want to be born under.
