Does anyone know where they repair and clean laserdisc players? I bought mine recently and the gentleman said he never opened it to clean it up. So I'd like to take it somewhere to get a good cleaning. Thanks in advance. Btw it's a Pioneer CLD-D704

You don't really need to clean a LD player as long as it was in a smoke free environment. When the disc is spinning it creates a lot of wind inside the player which keeps the laser lens free from dust. CD's move slow so they do not create wind to clean a lens. Really either way if it is working then just use it. Only issue with the 704 would be if the load belt or grip ring slipping and need replacing.

You can get both at pacparts.com and they are easy to find after you open the player. You can get to them from the top.
