It seems I need a new belt for my CLD-D503. I have already purchased a belt for it before, about 4 years ago. The new belt worked fine for a few years. However, I spent a while living somewhere away from my discs and players. When I got back, this player gave me the same problem as before: The assembly just couldn't get lifted and the player would give up, as the belt just couldn't lift the heavy assembly, and then it would make a whiny sound and eject the disc. However, now it even makes the same whiny sound as soon as you turn it on, and opens up before you have even put a disc in! As if rejecting the air! I believe I got the part number from this forum before, but now I need it again. Also, how many more times might I have to replace this belt?
