Can anyone recommend a lock-tight to use after making alterations within a player? I've heard talk of superglue/nail polish but I'd rather use the preferred substance.

Loc-Tite brand is the stuff to use. Typically the "blue bottle" variety, although green & red are also used (they differ in the strength of the adhesive). Little bottles, should be readily available at your hardware or electronics store.

Personally I do not lock any of the adjustments after I'm finished. These are not things that can easily turn and they stay put even when shipping. So if you lock them you be sorry if you ever have to work on it again.

Thanks for the info. I understand you can get varying strengths of loctite but if it isn't necessary I won't bother.
