Anyone do one of these before? I think I've got everything figured out except the rf bit on the audio board. Benedikt's horrible instructions say: RF = Look 1⁄4” left (towards the back) of CN505 and 1⁄4” above. Here are 2 resistors R41 and R42. The right (towards the front) pins of both are common and are the point to tap RF. Looking at the back side of the audio circuit board, the two resistors have jagged lightning-bolt looking symbols representing them. Well, there are a few spots in that general area with jagged lightning bolt symbols so it's not entirely clear where I'm supposed to be tapping in. If somebody could provide a picture with the point circled I'd greatly appreciate it. |

The instructions are the worst. This highlights @invenio great picture instructions. He spent the time to document the process and has helped so many people. He did it on a 97 the 95's big brother. I will look at my 95 instructions tonight to see if I can help. |

I saw the instructions for the 97 but since they have different boards it didn't help at all. |

This is the area below. He looks to be saying that the right side (pointing towards the front face) of both r42 and R42 are common and are the RF tap points. Do you have a picture of that area from the bottom and the top ?

The picture he has posted is the same chipboard that you posted just the components side as to your solder side picture. Not knowing anything here, it looks like you need to tap off of one of the 3 connections in that G-ground, RF-whatever that is and TBC- again whatever that is. Should be very close to the 97, find out what was tapped on that and do the same on this board as its posted on the board you just need to know what to tap off of. I'm no tech so do this at your own risk. And please post this so others know how to do this in the future. |

But look at the original instructions. It says there would be small lightning bolt symbols where I need to tap. The area you're talking about doesn't have those symbols. |

Ok that picture helps align both the schematic to the board. The schematic helps because each resistor is labeled so you can actually see both R42 and R41. Then when you look at your picture you can see R41 and R42 where they should be but with the lighting bolt. This is a picture of them side by side. If you look at the other side of the board you will be able to see R41 and R42 printed next to the resistor.

Sorry to not come back and check this. I was able to get it all figured out. I got fed up and just pulled the board and looked on the other side. Sure enough, the ones you marked there were the ones I was looking for. |
