I was having an issue where my belt was slipping, that was solved in another thread.

after replacing my belt the player has developed a new problem. the front edge of the tray seems to be catching on something. when it lifts to eject, a loud BANG occurs and you can see the front of the tray bend as the rear raises and then release. causing the sound.

What seems weird to me is that if i apply slight upward pressure to the tray there is no noise or issue. how could an obstruction disappear? all rails have been lubed with lithium grease and i see no issues with the travel on the rails. they move fully and only the front of the tray sticks...

Sorry for making another tread about this player, id just really like to see it work.. electronics are my thing, mechanisms are kryptonite

mechanism works fine if i hold the door open slightly... i did remove the front panel, could i have misaligned it somehow? what actually actuates the door?

for now i have a small amount of bluetac holding the door open a few mm and its all working fine.

The older players usually have a tab on the left side that the loading mechanism pushes to open and close the door. Sounds like the two mechanism arms are not properly placed to control the tab for the door.
