HI All,

Just joined this group after being told about it by an existing member.

I've just joined the ranks of the LD fans , by getting my hands on - Philips VP410 x2 & VP415 (Domesday System).

Am really interested in disc maintenance and how i should care for this ageing tech , any help and advice would be great.

How to avoid and treat disc rot? , Best ways to clean a LD-ROM disc or any other LD for that matter, Lens cleaning......etc etc.

Anyway , just thought I'd say 'Hi'.

Welcome!

My tip: discard broken discs & players.

Sounds like good advice to me :)

I'm hoping not to accumulate too many , as these things are huge , but spares also hard to come by now.

Thanks for the welcome.
