When handed this, yesterday morning I was thinking its Romancing the Stone and Jewel of the Nile!

Its the 12" plastic sleeving I ordered last late week before.

Well at least I can place the rest of the Laserdiscs in protective sleeves now. x100 for £8.45 free postal.

Here is the eBay page not sure if its free postal to Germany? But for the price for x100 I'm not grumbling I guess if I looked harder I might have found it a lot, lot lesser with free postal then again maybe postal for small price? I'll buy some more of these soon so I have plenty more to use as and when.

What do you use for 8 inch LDs? Will 7 inch sleeves for 45 record covers work?

I need to get another order in. I ordered from sleevetown.com. They're not bad but shipping doubles your order so you need to order a bunch to make it worth it.

i have some bags, i believe they are magazine bags from a comic shop.
they are the correct size but i cut them down to the correct size for my 8 inch discs.
you can also get a larger bag, a metal ruler and a hot electronic device, i use a soldering iron.
put the ruler where you need it, run the soldering iron or other device along the ruler so that it melts the
bag sealed and then you have the correct size.
i do this for my box sets since there are larger ones that you can't find bags for.

hope this helps.

I've just spent best part of an hour removing the Laserdiscs from the boxes that don't have sleeves and some that have shrink wrap I still placed a sleeve over it for extra protection. I had few LP film, soundtracks so I used what remaining sleeves I had. I now have only 5 sleeves left so not bad for the price of x100 I'll have to buy some more this week.

The Box to right rear has all the dts Laserdiscs in and the box in front of it a few soundtrack LP that are placed at the back and then the Laserdiscs in front.

The larger box to the left has Laserdiscs, plus a few more are in the living room. I'm going to need a bigger shelve.

you know it's bad to leave the old shrink wrap on LP or LD.
it will sometimes warp the cover and with LPs sometimes warp the disc.
or so i've read, but i don't like the shrink wrap at all so i remove it, unless it's sealed.

Well I've some shrink wrap with no snags unlike the rare STAR WARS PAL Laserdisc I brought years ago, the shrink wrap was truly stuck to cover and I wish I never removed it as it piled off most of the artwork on the front. I think its where the air can't get around what I do is push my hand inside the shrink wrap and loosen it a little to get some air around and its never gone wrong I have one disc Apollo 13 that I've had over 10 years and I could remove the wrapping and the artwork should be in-tacked apart from the sides where the discs slide in its a bit used.

8inch protective sleeves were discussed in a thread in the "General discussions - Music" area, I just can't find which thread it was anymore...

I get through so many outer sleeves I buy them in batches of 1000 at a time - that only lasts a year if even that.
