It's okay to show off a little but the rules are:
I start: Tears for Fears, 2010 Asian Tour in Singapore, Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith signing at the top. I had a chat with the drummer at the end of the set and he got me a backstage pass where I got my LD signed by everyone. He was a really cool guy! Attachment: Julien |

I've got quite a few, but this is the only one I have a picture ready of--Dawn of the Dead: Collector's Box autographed by George A Romero: I'll see about getting pics of the other LDs I have autographed. |

Ok,this is a bit weird however the tale is true. Circa 2002 living in Phoenix, was going with a friend to Coopers town, a Sports Bar owned by the one and only Alice Cooper. Well,I had just purchased a copy of "Tank Girl" and had the misconception that the weirdo tword the end of the film that had purchased the little girl was Alice Cooper, you know the guy that has the danger ball go off in his hand !?! So I go to lunch with my buddy and take that LD jacket along just in case..... Alice turned up and started signing things on the spot so I grabbed my jacket and got in line. I wish I had a camera for that Kodak moment when I handed it to him !!! He looked at me like WTF ? And went ahead and signed it. He was running late for a game of golf so did not bother to ask me about it !?! It turns out that Iggy Pop played that character not Alice Cooper. So to this day I have a copy of "Tank Girl" with Alice Cooper scribbled on the jacket face !!! Hey...the guy in the film did look like Alice !!!! SORRY IGGY !!!! |

Almost got a laserdisc signed once but tanya roberts wanted 50 bucks to sign a copy of beastmaster. I didnt. I have a really cool clive barker signed hellraiser but i didnt get it signed. I have a 10th anniversary of highlander signed by the two creators and the director, which is pretty cool. |

Richard Kiel is a HUGE man. And Reb Brown is still in pretty good shape after all these years. |

Hi! I thought I´d try to bump this thread, as this is something that I really find interesting. Sadly enough I dont have any LDs that I have personally gotten someone to sign, there aren´t that many actors passing throught sweden. There are a few "sci-fi"-conventions but the guests arent that many and often not very interesting... My friend got his Japanese Box of V signed by Robert Englund at a convention i gothenburg, he found this box fascinating and had never seen that release before. I intended to have Michael Biehn sign The Abyss a few years back, but I didn´t get hold of the Japanese Box until after the convention he attended. I own a copy of Terror at the Opera wich is signed by Dario Argento on both the front and back. He used a black pen so it is hardly visible on the front, I guess that is why he signed it on the back aswell. Please tell me some stories and show pictures of some of the LDs that yau have gotten signed. //mondo |

Funny you should mention Dario Argento. I had him sign my Suspiria Spectral Collection LD box a few years ago. He had never seen it before and didn't know what a Laserdisc was! |

I got this signed at the The Carrington House Hotel Bournemouth "STAR TREK sci-fi ball" around mid February 2002. (Jeremy Bulloch) who plays Boba Fett (Michael Sheard) Admiral Ozzel I noticed him when I walked into the Hotel lobby he was sat down mind his own business and I approached him and asked if was. "Indeed I am". Funny fela. I asked him he would be here all day and if it would be okay for him to sign the inside of the chapter booklet. I did have to rush home some 20mins and then rush back with box set and some STAR TREK DVD as I had no idea these cast members who I grew up watching in the 80's and then seeing the STAR TREK Next-Generation I know I can't show the DVD's here so maybe in another thread. One of the Ewoks A Mike I can't make out the last name? I think > He was sat next to Jeremy Bulloch who signed the front cover. |

He says he started collecting LDs right as DVDs were coming on the market, but his player broke down and he never got it fixed. Hence the quote! Here's a pic of me with Romero: And Romero with my friend Becky: |

Yeah, Romero was very approachable and open to questions and conversations. It was truly a pleasure meeting him. My costume is the character Bayman from the video game series Dead or Alive While Becky's costume is Phoenix from X-Men . . . Yup, my friends and I are a bunch of dorks into that hobby called "cosplay" |

I only have one, but its a doozie for anime fans: I have no idea why I didn't have her sign Flashback. I was kind of stupid that day, obviously. I also have a Hiroyuki Kitazume autograph, but its a Moldiver disc since even if I could afford $400 ZZ Gundam box sets back then they hadn't been released yet, and Char's Counterattack was sold out everywhere. |

rein-o wrote: i was going to have him sign some stuff, but then found out the signature was going to be 25 bucks each no thank you Yeah, I refuse to pay money for autographs unless I know the guy is starving or something. Usually the guys I go after are comic artist types who can whip out a sketch in seconds, so I'll pay for that...although I'm not sure I ever have. What I got instead of a signed Gundam LD (CCA-era Char): Here is Konichi Sonada. I wanted Priss, of course, but he was practicing Minnie May all day: Here is my favorite, a super deformed VT-1D by Shoji Kawamori: There is no way I'm paying $80 for Patrick Stewart's name written on a piece of paper though, no matter how awesome I think he is. He's not holy. |
