Isn't that a CRVDisc recorder; and not a LD Recorder?

I've seen several CRVDisc systems people claim are laserdisc because they're big optical discs.

If it is CRVDisc; that's drastically different than LD.

Componet Recordable VideoDisc. Stored video in component video rather than seperated or composite. Same concept as LD; I can't recall what its intended purpose was. I have a client that was a video editor/producer. He has two of these and still has a few discs. He used it mostly for archival purposes.
