Are the following outer sleeves any good? http://www.ebay.com/itm/390475853168

Is a loose or a snug fit better?

(I like this seller a lot, so I'd prefer to order my outer sleeves from him, as I currently use the following inner sleeves he sells: http://www.ebay.com/itm/370659069941)

Thanks!

i found on ebay once the white paper with anti static plastic inside just like ones that would be on US discs.
outer sleeve is really upto you.
for me i get the archival ones from bags unlimited, they are only a few bucks more.
tight or loose, i don't feel that either will make a difference, unless they are double discs then you need loose.

for me i try to get the tight ones since i have lots of japanese discs and they fit perfectly for single or a little
snug for double, but if i have that i'll just swap a bag off of a single large that i own already and put it on the double disc.

Thanks for the information, rein-o.

What's the deal with the 1.5mil, 3mil, etc.? Are those measurements of the thickness of the plastic?

yes, i have bought the 2 mil in the past, it's fine but you will wish you bought the 3 mil.
4mil and up is too thick, i think.

i actually just ordered some now since you posted this, i've been needing them.
some like the sealing flaps, i never liked them since it took more time for me to open them and i found that i never
watched the discs that had those as sleeves, but they are good if you are taking them to a show or selling etc.

I'd personally recommend you get your sleeves from the LaserDisc Vault. They're the ones I use at least.

Bought some outer sleeves on eBay a couple of months ago. I think it was 3 mil.
About 2 mm loose on both sides, and 4 - 5 mm on the top. Almost snug fit. Easy to locate the title when it is stored in my shelf.
Could use it for most double Laserdisc jackets as well - with no complications.
Too bad I can't locate the address at the time, but search for it on eBay. The auction uses a Star Wars LD to show off the sleeve. :)

I like the sleeves I get from when you buy discs from Duff's and Laserdisc Vault. I don't know what gauge they use though. I'm assuming it's 6mil as that's what they sell on the site: http://www.laserdiscvault.com/Laserdisc ... RVXYmdtuVM

snug fit is for single discs. Loose fit is for Doubledisc(works for double disc standard sleeves & Gatefolds) Sleevie wonder is a good seller, I always buy my sleeves from him. He even does large box set sleeves for box sets bigger than 3/4 inch

I used to use regular outer sleeves, untill I tried these ones made by the Japanese company Nagaoka. The price on these is 3.16 USD for a package of 10 sleeves. The sleeves are fairly clear too, and says made in Japan right on the package.

CD Japan has the best price, and shipping is not too exensive internationally.
