Probably that or less, if it's this one.

That's the later 1989 re-issue. I'd rate the 1st edition as worth a little more than that.

Local sale I would say 25 usd, maybe even 30. Internet price is less since you have to pay atleast 15 usd just in shipping, and you risk to get a damage disc.

There is no any of these(1985 issue) to buy, anywhere :o
Somewhere in japan perhaps and trips are expensive from here.
I'am thinking range of 300-500€ with this
Maybe i'am wrong.

ps. there is paypal protection for shipping

Or japanese Yahoo auctions. Its prob not that rare. And not so many want it since the later ones are better... But it still nice to have it.

I think you missing the part that more people has to want this in order for it to be worth any amount of money. If the supply is greater then the need then it will not be catching any amount of money.

but if this is true. that this release is the only release that contains the original mono mix, then it might be more to it. But I would still say around 30-35 usd, but now it might be easy to sell it.

http://originaltrilogy.com/FORUM/topic. ... 136/page/3

but still, 5 usd can buy you it from Japan. Add 30 usd in shipping and fees you are at 35.

Both your links don't match with japan 1985 release. Colors in yahoo link are different vs 1985 version.
You can see how many is available here and how many is sold, then you might realize how rare this is. All in ebay are 1989 versions or newer.

Now I think you just choose what you want to see. The 1985 version is the only one with that obi. The later one does not have that obi. Its the same as Cold_sleepers

It doesnt matter how rare it is if no one wants it. For a horror fan it might be interesting to own the japanese 1st edition, but thats it. Otherwise most will go for the first cheap japan or usa edition they see. If its the 85 or 89 version wont matter.

They will be surprised at the size of subtitles if they see a Japanese edition for the first time :o

I am not bothered by this so much anymore. But there are some bad ones where they cover up way to much, hehe.

I disagree. World economy is not good to sell anything collectables but prices will raise.
If you don't like horror that's it but there is lot of people who like and are willing to pay serious cash in few years timeline, i'll wait :D
ps. I'am not selling here anything right now, happy labor day to all.

I snatched the first release about minute ago straight from Japan for $4 plus shipping just to fulfill my curiosity, I guess that's it for the valuations.

Think its a good buy, as said the first release from 85 is quite hard to find. hehe snatched my link :P

But I am pretty confident to say it will never be worth more then today.

Let us know the full price after fees and shipping, then we know the value :)
