There's a list of 2817 movies here: http://www.dvd-register.com/Never_Issued_On_DVD.pdf... but this is from 2008 so many of these will have been released on DVD or BD in the last four years. The Perfect Weapon is out on BD next week! Some films are only available in their original widescreen versions on laserdisc, two that spring to mind are Sorcerer (1977) and Slipstream (1989). Song of the South was shown on TV in the UK, there are DVD bootlegs around on the internet sourced from this broadcast which are better quality than the laserdisc. It's a similar case with theatrical version of Star Wars Episode I (although the laserdisc is the only place to get the original AC3 audio). As mentioned above, the 1981 version of Star Wars Episode IV "A New Hope" was not released on DVD (the 2006 DVD contained the 1977 theatrical version which was just "Star Wars"). And the 1997 Special Editions were further altered for the 2004 DVD, and even further for the 2011 BD.

There are a lot of RKO titles on LaserDisc that never made it to DVD or Blu-ray: Around the World At Sword's Point Bad Company Carefree China Sky Cornered Five Came Back A Girl in Every Port Having a Wonderful Time In Name Only Love on a Bet The Lusty Men Mademoiselle Fifi New Faces of 1937 Phantom of Crestwood Race Street Riff-Raff Second Chance Sister Kenny Stage Struck That's Right, You're Wrong This Land is Mine What Price Hollywood? You'll Find Out
Lot of silent films: The Crowd Greed West of Zanzibar The Wind Woman of Affairs
There's also Leni Riefenstahl's propaganda classic Olympia.
*EDIT* Also add That Sinking Feeling. I was wrong about Cornered. It's available on Film Noir Classic Collection: Volume Five DVD. I should do better research next time. Sorry, all.

There was; I had it, sold it (dumbass) and am still trying to find another copy along with trying to afford the DTS Laserdisc (good luck on my $$)...

No, the version on LaserDisc is NOT available on BD. the BD is the cut 'mainstream' release - the so-called 'restoration' done for the LaserDisc was done on video in standard definition and couldn't be transferred to BD. All the extra scenes that make up the longer LaserDisc version are on the BD in standard def as bonus features, as well as the hour long "making of" documentary and trailers. Happily, the 70mm 6-track audio has been transferred correctly to BD with the directional dialog intact and no fake surround created and the picture quality and aspect ratio is beautiful. The cut version of the film is actually better than the longer version - it moves along at a breezy pace and doesn't get bogged down with scenes that run too long like the LaserDisc version. ...Mad World is one film that needed to be cut down and is actually funnier in its shorter form. Robert Harris is, or will be, working to preserve and restore the film to its original Roadshow length and save it from being lost. The film is in truly terrible condition and on the verge of being lost forever. The LaserDisc box sets cover has to be one of the best jackets ever done, especially with the big Cinerama logo.
