Haven't been buying the last few months. I 'm not really looking for "early" releases. pre-95' discs don't interest me anymore. I sold those back in 2000-2001. Don't regret it either. laserrot comes to mind. I have a hard time completing my few "wanted" discs lately. and I hope none of these are rotters someday..... On the other hand, finding the last few discs would "complete" my personal collection. Hope to find: Les Rivieres Pourpres (the Crimson Rivers) The cell (if the price is right) The Limey The 6th day (for the proud of ownership) this meaning it can't be expensive Stigmata sleepy Hollow (for collector's purpose) I love my hddvd edition! Eventually they'll come along I'm sure

Oh my cold_sleeper, didnt you have to sell a lot of lds becouse of lacking space ? hehe box sets are not the way to go then =) I love and hate box sets. I bought a few music lds, now I got all the runaways related lds, except one USA-pressing. Also got a sealed copy of the great running wild concert, gamma ray and Rage, great stuff. btw, which jethro ld should I keep? And Rock Video Girls, I blame the sexist world of marketing in my youth, its their fault I couldn't pass this when I saw them from the same seller. I also got these that I bought just to see if its something I enjoy. http://www.lddb.com/laserdisc/15593/ESL ... orld-(1991) http://www.lddb.com/laserdisc/16354/VPL ... -Testament (actually thought it was a concert =() http://www.lddb.com/laserdisc/28769/POL ... ssel-(1994) http://www.lddb.com/laserdisc/16430/APL ... lona-(1992)

Yes, I also wonder why Helloween didn't get laserdisc releases. The reason for it could be Kai Hansen - he's very popular in Japan. By the mid-nineties - Andi Deris replaced Michael Kiske in Helloween because of internal disagreements and the way the music was going to be.

True, but even the later cds where very popular, So the High live must have been a strong candidate. It would even fit a 1-ld release. Both artist where on Victor in Japan. Very strange anyway. But maybe they where not as popular 96 as in beginning of the 90s. Or maybe the Gamma Ray lds didnt sell so well so they didnt want to take another shot at Helloween. But even what the reason was it would have been a great release.

If Victor == JVC, they might've gotten a VHD release at some point. As for me... I found the 1989 Image demo disk at a Ventura thrift for $1 (haven't checked it yet, since it's a 1989 3M it might be a rotter), and I just got a couple of demo disks (Laservision Demonstration 2, and the digital sound demo) - was hoping to use the former as my next software decoding demo, but it's not demodulating correctly. Looks nice on my TV at least. Before that I got a couple of cheap 80's lots.

Probably just inclusions in production then and not rot at all I hear the LX-900 is good for cutting through rot, I'd give it a spin on that too.

I experienced the storage area crisis in 1998. I had the debt then and sold several hundred discs of collection. I move to the present in 2008 and it is not appropriate storage, but is enough somehow.

Nothing too special, but I found this at Half Price Books yesterday. $9.99 with 20% off, didn't have it and seemed like too good of a deal to pass up. Attachment:

Attachment: LD lion.jpg Is that set complete? I have that as well, but I've noticed that in general complete sets with nothing missing go for a commanding price. I payed more than $9.99 for mine.
