I picked up a copy of Event Horizon (1997) [LV334823-WS] at the weekend along with a couple of retro games. It was a successful shopping trip :)

Bringing out the dead AC3 Jap release sealed $80

Just hope it's not a disaster like my previous purchase Apt Pupil.
Which was riddled with crosstalk on both sides.
If it is i am done with laserdisc.

I'm a big fan of The X-Files. I trying to collect all UK and USA releases. Hackers is a film I saw a lot when I whas younger.
The outlaw Josey Wales was on my wishlist and the first disc I popped in when I got these. Money Train whas just dirt cheap.

Still haven't bought any new LDs in probably 7 or 8 years. I've gotten the curiosity bug to collect again after coming across a few titles in my dvd collection that are fullscreen only with no domestic widescreen dvd or blu ray. Keep putting a few titles in my cart, but then put them back in fear of becoming a full-fledged buying addict again. :p I probably had as many as 2000+ titles at one point and now I'm down to a manageable 500 or so. But, as with anything, once you start actively collecting it can become a slippery slope with impulse purchases and the thrill of the chase all over again.

I didn't realize that ''HACKERS'' was a known Rotter, as my us version of this is fine.......The music, characters, storyline and general feel of this movie is great.

I shall be purchasing the Japanese version of this at some stage.

Sorry to read that the two that you had or have are rotten

The sound quality on the Laserdisc is superb.

Kind Regards

I checked it after I read your post. I saw a speckle or two but other than that no indication of real laserrot.

Back To The Future, the 4 underlined letters spell BTTF, and the last 2 were Letterbox.
