Post subject: Q about Japanese rental discs? Rot or Not? Posted: 23 Jun 2017, 19:33 |

Do japanese Pioneer gold rental discs suffer from rot or not? Or is it the same detoriation procedure as with standard discs, rot will appear on some discs, other discs will not suffer?
When Kodak had gold CD-R discs maybe 15 years ago, these blank cd's were considered the best in the industry. Cudd we say the same thing about japanese gold rental LD's, do they rot or not?

i thought rental discs had sturdier material for longer life wear n tear issues being a rental disc. less sensitive to scratches and scuffs
i thought gold discs were more HQ with a better and more thorough manufacturing process (maybe causing less rot problems in the future) than standard discs?

PDO UK used yellow plastic on many music discs, and they're of poor quality. well, I guess we learn something new everyday. thanx
