Hello!
I sold the cover (only) of a cracked disc (during shipping) recently and, since the disc was already split in 2 I decided to finish the job and completely break it to have a look.
I already broke LDs before (SONY dead rotters) and I had to bent them HARD to reach breaking point.
For this Pioneer Japan disc, it actually neatly snapped nicely along the diameter with a sound similar to breaking a piece of bread that has been toasted a little too long.
Now I looked along the split line and noticed a hole I didn't notice before in my previous "Destroy a SONY LD" experiences:

I can see some barcode marks at the edge the label (for production control I supposed) but also a inner ring on both parts that makes a nearly round holes when the 2 discs are glued and aligned together.
Would that be some grasping ring for the production machine or an extra space for the glue to move in when the 2 platters are glues together?
