Yesterday, I responded to a local craigslist post for laserdiscs at 1 USD per title. I purchased 65 titles all of which were in mint condition. In the collection of 65 titles, 10 were criterion, 20 were DTS, 20 AC-3 titles, and 2 box sets (Star Wars and I, Claudius).

All in all, it was a very good collection purchase and I surprisingly had very few duplicates. When I picked up the discs, he let me know that I was the second person to respond and I was getting the remainder of his 180 titles. The guy who responded before me picked up picked through the titles and grabbed most of his DTS discs. Hopefully someone here was the one that got them. No complaints on what I bought, but I do wish I had been just a little bit faster and picked up his large DTS collection.

Any titles that standout? Did you manage to get any of the DTS titles, or were the all gone by the time you got there?

I bought what was left of the collection as upon initial inspection, it was very apparent that the seller had really cared for the discs. Each disc had its own poly bag to prevent cover damage.

There were about 20 DTS titles including Dark City, From Dusk til Dawn, English Patient, Jackie Brown, Jurassic Park, and Pulp Fiction. All in all, very nice grouping of discs. Just wish I had been able to get more of them.

Nice! It's always so exciting to find that the previous owner took good care of the discs. That's still great to find 20 DTS titles in the wild and for that cheap.
