I don't really know if these are worth picking up. Do people collect them? I could be wrong, but it sounds like you’re asking for business advice. Kinda scummy, IMO. There are sellers here for sure but this isn’t Pawn Stars. Mostly it’s a forum for fans. I don’t have any karaoke discs and I’ve never even seen one played except from far away in a bar. I have a (non-CD+G) karaoke player though and a three year old so I’ve been meaning to check it out. Everyone who has them in quantity though just talks about them like they were a pile of toxc waste too worthless to even list. This makes it hard for me to shop for any titles I want, being pretty snobby about music to begin with.

Nope, they are just regular discs. The only thing about a Karaoke player is that you can plug your mic into the player and get your vocals and the music coming out of the same speakers. Otherwise you can use any player and even stand in the room singing just reading the lyrics, or get a mic and amp with some reverb to feel like you are drunk at a real karaoke bar And just changing your audio tracks to have the pre-recorded vocals or just music with no vocals on track 1 or 2 etc.

It also has some kind of filter that doesn’t do anything. I’ll look into it more later. That will probably be some kind of notch filter to filter out vocal frequencies on normal music CD's and LD's so you can do the karaoke thing with them. IIRC the discs would make use of the multiple audio tracks to do things like have "assisted vocals" = a backing singer to sing along with you, or "unassisted" = music only (both with subtitled lyrics of course).
