it's a good looking mid/late-80's LDP model. guess it works at least as well as it looks?
i nearly ended up with one myself in a CL deal about ten years ago or so, didn't pan out,
so i ended up living with a thrashed-but-functional 1986 LD-838D until i finally had a solid stab
at acquiring the CLD-3030 i always wanted since first getting into LD back around the turn of the millennium.

the CLD-3030 was direct successor to the CLD-1010. a magazine reviewer reviewing the 3030 claimed experience
with both models, and was implying that the base performance of both were pretty well equal, for what that's ultimately worth.

there is the unique, visible red-beam LD pickup of the -1010 to consider, however.
some say it makes for a marked improvement in this models' handling of less-than-perfect discs...
