But again rot is not as big a deal as all you newer collectors want to think.

It is when I'm trying to replace a rotten copy.

Oh yes it is then.

Not when buying an entire collection of lets say 100+ discs.

It’s £5 to mail a 1kg parcel within the UK. But an LD box that probably weights 5kg comes all the way from HK for LESS? Did it come on a military flight? Is HK still occupied and nobody told me?

It would make more sense to me that the box was $6 and the shipping was $30. That would be more in line with my international shipping experiences. I get free shipping from HK all the time but it’s usually letter sized stuff, like Mini 4WD parts that weigh less paper.

Yeah, I understand the racket that China and such pull on ebay with dollar items and free shipping, they are just buying their feedback so they can have sixty thousand feedbacks and bury other sellers who can't compete with the volume of items.

But this shipping shenanigans with 6 pounds

Or really

Don't tell me that someone can really get cheaper shipping than I can when you really can't.

This reminds me of the guy I had met once, he told me he was able to ship guitars to Australia for 40 bucks and whenever I would try with
the same guitar shape and all it was no less than 90.00

And this was 10 years ago.

So you paid 6 pounds for shipping an LD box set from Hong Kong to the UK

I understand shipping may be cheaper but really....

The cheapest shipping from the state I live in to the state my parents live in 3hrs away will be 7.25 for a 10 disc set.

It is more than 2 years ago so can't find out how much I paid but £36 was roughly what I paid. It might have been more than £6 postage, I don't remember.
